Why stop at cycling?  You can guarantee a Hopwood Lady is never short of a friend to spend time socialising with.  A casual mention of an intended walk, ice skating trip, cinema outing or disco can often turn into a mass attendance.  Many outings are completely unscheduled and without expectation whilst others are planned, with the added notion that fancy dress may be an option.  Amusingly, this doesn’t take much prompting for most.
